If you haven't been to China... book your flight
now! China, the most exotic destination in eastern
and northern Asia, and quite possibly the world.
A Chinese visa is a permit issued by Chinese visa
authorities to non-Chinese citizens for entry
into, exit from and transit through China.
American citizens and citizens of most countries
are required to obtain a China visa before
entering China. There are eight categories of
ordinary Chinese visas, which are respectively
marked with the letters C, D, F, G, J-1, J-2, L, X
and Z.
China is a large country at a size of 9,596,960 sq
km. China was only partially open to the world
from 1980 onwards and has been a communist country
for many decades. Although there is much progress
in the travel industry and infrastructure of
China, there remain areas that need to be improved
before it can match the level that most tourist
would require.
China isn't a country - it's a different world.
From shop-till-you-drop metropolises to the epic
grasslands of Inner Mongolia, China is a land of
cultural and geographic schisms. It's not that it
has completely done away with its Maoist past -
it's more that the yin of revolutionary zeal is
being balanced by the yang of economic pragmatism.
